Grounding Plate Installation Kit with 4 ground plates - for Dual CMCE Device Installation
This is a complete grounding and bonding package designed for use with the SERTEC CMCE Lightning Prevention System. Bringing together all the essential components when 4 ground plates are required as part of the intallation.
This kit simplifies installation while ensuring reliable electrical connections throughout the grounding network.
Suitable for new builds and retrofit installations, the kit provides marine-grade components selected for durability, performance and long-term reliability in demanding marine environments.

- 4 × Glomex RA203 Grounding Plates
- 1 × EGIS 5-Stud Bus Bar with Protective Cover
- 1 × 25mm² (4 AWG) × 32mm Copper Bootlace Ferrule for the Primary Conductor
- 5 × 25mm² (4 AWG) M10 Copper Cable Lugs for Primary and Secondary Conductors
- 4 × 25mm² (4 AWG) M8 Copper Cable Lugs for Secondary Conductor to Ground Plate Connections
- 3 × 10g Tubes of Dielectric Grease for Terminal Stud Protection
Installation Requirements
To achieve the intended performance of the SERTEC CMCE Lightning Prevention System, the following installation requirements should be observed:
- Installation must be carried out in accordance with the latest SERTEC installation guidelines.
- Ground plates should be mounted below the waterline in a location that maintains continuous contact with seawater. One of either side of the keel line, ideally positioned fore & aft of each other.
- All grounding conductors should be as straight as practicable, avoiding sharp bends wherever possible.
- 25mm² (4 AWG) copper conductor should be used between all system components. A second 6mm² tinned cable may be used to connect chainplates and forestay where a carbon rig is fitted.
- Mechanical connections must be clean, secure and protected against corrosion.
- Dielectric grease should be applied to all exposed studs and terminals during assembly.
- The grounding network should be bonded to the vessel's designated lightning protection grounding arrangement.
- Installation should be verified and inspected by a suitably qualified marine electrician or installer for commissioning.
